Old Parish Registers
For members of the Church of Scotland, church registers of baptisms, marriages and burials survive, often from late 16th and the 17th or 18th centuries. Adherents of the various Scottish Secession Churches are seldom included in these registers. Generally they contain births and/or christenings, marriages, deaths and/or burials although often entries were poorly recorded.
